Evonik in Taiwan

Evonik Taiwan Ltd. is successfully representing the majority of the Evonik business. Evonik has more than 100 employees in Taiwan, including one production plants (Evonik United Silica Industrial Ltd. in Taoyuan).

Establish

Evonik United Silica Industrial Ltd (EUSIL) is the production plant of Evonik Taiwan Ltd, which was established in 1979, including 140 employees. Its main product is Silica. In 1994, Evonik Degussa Taiwan Ltd has decided to be located in Taipei City for agency and distribution function where we have 66 employees for providing good service, sales, and technical solutions. In 2006, Evonik Forehouse Optical Polymers Corp. is well established of its main product named optical-grade PMMA, including 50 employees. In 2007, we officially changed our company name to Evonik Taiwan Ltd. In 2019, Evonik has signed an agreement to sell its Methacrylates business to Advent International for €3 billion. The transaction comprises the Methacrylates, Acrylic Products and CyPlus business lines, and some of the methacrylate resins activities. Therefore, EFOP is no longer belong to Evonik Industries.

Evonik serves Taiwan’s well globally positioned industry clusters in Value Chain of Semiconductor, Display/Optoelectronics, and Textiles as well as Automotive Components.
